MET Orchestra Cellos Play Lohengrin

A year ago, our “April Fool’s Day” was sadly not very funny, as this was the start of an enormously difficult year. This marked the beginning of massive financial insecurity, musical career insecurity and an ultimate sense of loss of spirit for us as artists.

Despite these enormous challenges, and with your continued support, we have done our best to make the most of our situation. We just concluded our fifth MET Orchestra Spotlight Series concert which marked this momentous occasion by bringing together every major part of an orchestra: the strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion.

Please enjoy our cellos who are performing an arrangement from Wagner’s “Lohengrin”.

Rafael Figueroa, Principal Cello, Dorothea Figueroa Associate Principal Cello, Julia Bruskin Wunsch and David Heiss, Cellos.

This was filmed and edited by Joan Argemí at Columbia University in the City of New York’s Casa Italiana.

Tickets for the entire program can still be purchased at: Spotlight.MetOrchestraMusicians.org
