David Langlitz, Principal Trombone
David Langlitz holds BM, MM from the Juilliard School of Music. Studies with Roger Smith, Arnold Jacobs, John Swallow, Glenn Dodson. Numerous recordings and DVD's for Deutsche Grammophon, Sony Classical, Decca, Nonesuch, etc. Fulbright Lecturing Award- giving solo recitals and master classes, and coaching brass sections in Peoples Republic of China and Korea. Performances with the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society. MFA in Film Directing from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Studies in directing in master class with Arthur Penn and studies in film editing with Spike Lee. His first film, Angel Passing, which he wrote and directed, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won numerous awards and prizes in both international and domestic film festivals. Angel Passing also played on television in the US on PBS and also on French television [France/Belgium/Luxembourg/Canada].
