We are unbelievably excited to be back. This is our first week of preseason, which means that we're rehearsing Le Nozze di Figaro and our first Carnegie Hall concert with our music director, James Levine. This author will be playing cymbals on Mahler's Symphony No. 9.

To celebrate the upcoming season, we've worked with the great opera magazine Opera21 to create an amazing issue features us, the MET Orchestra Musicians!

In addition to an interview about the orchestra with Jessica Phillips Rieske, acting principal clarinet and chair of the orchestra committee, six of our members are individually featured:

Jerry Grossman, Principal Cello

David Chan, Concertmaster

Melissa Robason, Librarian

Julie Pilant, French Horn

Susan Spector, Oboe

Anthony McGill, Principal Clarinet

We're honored to be on the radar of these youthful writers and opera enthusiasts. Please read, follow them on Twitter, and subscribe to their magazine!
