Annamae Goldstein, Second Violin Associate

Annamae Goldstein has been making lists since she learned to write. It prepared her well for the meticulous and miraculous life of an orchestra musician.

She began her studies at Juilliard at 11 and spent 11 years there, graduating with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. While at school she won a gig with the New Jersey Symphony. After spending two years with the NJSO and riding the bus, she landed a gig with The Met at 24. Now she spends much of her time in the car, cooking and worrying for her kids and doing yoga.

Annamae is on the board of directors of Pathways to Housing, a non-profit organization that houses and supports the homeless mentally ill population. She lives in Piermont with her sons Owen and Sam and her husband, trumpeter Mark Gould, of Pink Baby Monster and Metropolitan Opera fame.
