Amy Kauffman, Violin

Amy Kauffman joined the Met orchestra in 2002. She is a former member of the Houston and Pittsburgh Symphonies, and a graduate of Indiana University and Juilliard, where she worked as teaching assistant to Ronald Copes. She loves playing chamber music, and has performed frequently in New York and in festivals throughout the U.S. As a student at Indiana University, she had the opportunity to study baroque violin with Stanley Ritchie, and has performed and recorded with early music groups in New York, Boston, Rochester, Houston, and Bloomington.
